Getting things started
Still deciding whether this'll be a place to just rant about things or to just go design-only. Or most likely a design-games hybrid. I was also considering doing this in Spanish but I see no point at the moment as this'll hopefully reach more people (eventually anyway).
Either way, I tend to rant a lot so I'll try not to bore those unlucky few who happen to come by here.
Things to write about once things at school settle:
-mediocrity and how to fight it
-designer "whores", leeches, and other dumb and always unpleasant people
-pseudo designer who do for the sake of doing without thinking
-analytical thinking in design
-designing without being an artist
-graphic design and games
-feeling lost upon graduation (welcome to the real world or "starting in the game of LIFE")
-listening to how a song sounds vs. what a song says
-taste vs. being objective
-burnout syndrome / losing drive
-how to find the job that's right for you
-designing in mexico vs. the rest of the world
-raising the level of mexican design and mexican quality as a whole
-whining vs. winning
hopefully I'll be adding to the list and addressing them ne by one. If anyone stumbles on this and finds any subjects interesting, I'll try my best to flesh out my view point on these while getting some sources to further the points.
The only other thing I would like is a place to get interesting discussions on people's thoughts about these subjects. Forums are generally a good place to start but with so many different places and such a broad range of topics, I'm not sure where to go with these so hopefully this blog will help somewhat.
